I started my PhD in september, 2006 at LIMOS (Clermont-Ferrand, France) with Vincent Barra. The subject of my PhD is "Tools for tiling surfaces" (see full subject (fr)).

Research:

Keywords: unfolding, cutting, tilling, topology, geometry.

During my pre-doc (2005-2006), I worked on the planar representation of the cortical surface. I developed on tools for unfolding and building cartography. Beyond the circle packing method, I was interested on problems of MRI preprocesses: segmentation, mesh building, selecting region of interest, cutting before unfolding. This unfolded map is also a good support for the representation of many informations like distance to dura matter, or potential of electrode located on the surface of the dura matter. Those questions has been considered and offers many prospects for study.

This first application is at the origin of many questions, an my PhD studies are especially near to the cutting of surfaces (with geometrical, topological or applicative constraints). I will work on other applications, where the cutting process is required and also complex.
